Beautifully Painted Birds & Flowers the Kitchen of our Mesa, AZ house in 2019
Photos of the Beautifully Hand Painted Kitchen "Birds, Butterflies and Flowers" in our
Mesa, AZ house which we sold on May 15, 2019
Tina and I moved to Raleigh NC to be near our Grandkids (Dylan 4, and Lucy 1).
Their parents (Trey, our older son, and wife Ashley, our wonderful daughter-in-law) moved to Raleigh in 2016 from Culver City (LA), CA.
They wanted to be able to afford a house for Dylan.
LA houses are MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE then houses in NC.
Trey is a computer programmer and his company offered employees to "Work From Home".
A&T decided to move to Raleigh where they could buy a house much cheaper than in the LA area.
So, from October 2016 til now, Tina has wanted to move to Raleigh.
I knew it was just a matter of time.
I finally retired on July 31, but Tina was in Raleigh from May 20 getting our new home all fixed up!
In 2004, our next door neighbor (Sherry T.) painted all kinds of flowers, birds and butterflies on our kitchen walls in Mesa, AZ. She did this for us because we had seen similar wall art at my cousin Joe & Jill's house in Indiana years earlier.
We have now loved those painted walls done by Sherry for 15 years and were sad to have to leave them.
So, I saved these photos for our enjoyment now that we are gone and the house has been sold.
The photos are below:
Proof that our family really loves those painted birds and flowers.
Actually, our grandkids don't even notice those painted walls.
But Tina and I love Sherry's paintings every day.

Trip to Arches & Canyonlands National Parks, Moab Utah from 8/23 to 8/26/2018
Tina and I went on a 4 day driving trip with our "Corvette Club of Arizona" friends.
The scenery and vistas were so beautiful and were everywhere we turned.
It is so nice that we do not run out of film any more,
and we can just keep pressing that "Go" button on the phone / camera!
Our trip hosts were Bruce and Jan Mundy. Normally these trips are called MMT which stands for "Magical Mystery Tour" because our hosts don't tell us where we are going.
We have to guess / figure it out as we go through all the various stops between Phoenix and the final destination.
But, for this MMT, Bruce and Jan decided to tell us the destination way ahead of time so we could research where we were going and be ready for some great photos and hiking.
So, this year's MMT was actually the "Magical Moab Tour"
Along with touring Arches and Canyonlands, Bruce and Jan also made us tour boat reservations for a dinner and night time boat tour on the Colorado River.
It was the world renowned "Sound and Light Show" tour.

On the drive up to Arches, Bruce and Jan also drove us to the "Goosenecks" state park in
Utah along the San Juan river. See photo near the bottom of this page.

Also, see way below for photos of the Petroglyphs we saw on the way to Canyonlands N.P.

On the edge of a deep canyon above the sinuous river meander known as a gooseneck, this small park affords impressive views of one of the most striking examples of an entrenched river meander on the North American continent. The San Juan River twists and turns through the meander, flowing a distance of over six miles while advancing one and half miles west on its way to Lake Powell. Gaze at the results of 300 million years of geological activity, where the San Juan River winds and carves its way through the desert 1,000 feet below.
